Marlene is a Certified Personal Trainer with NASM (the National Academy of Sports Medicine). She has been serving the needs of The Dynamic Advantage’s clients since 2002.
Marlene’s specialty is helping seniors boost their mobility and strength. As an avid believer herself in staying strong through her own resistance training pursuits, she has the ability to explain not only the finer points of proper exercise technique, but also how to help women overcome any fears they may have about challenging themselves in the world of resistance training.
From 2003-2008, Marlene was the primary trainer for the Dynamic Strength Training portion of the Return To Wellness programs in Arcadia and Pasadena, CA. She was responsible for coaching breast cancer survivors through the post-rehabilitation recovery process for regaining their energy, strength and confidence.
Prior to embarking on her career in fitness, she spent over twenty years in Law Enforcement as a member of the San Gabriel, CA Police Department.
Marlene loves hiking to places such as Yosemite’s Half Dome, and kayaking in the Sea of Cortez off Baja Mexico’s east coast. She loves traveling and has particularly high interest in making repeat visits to Italy and Lebanon, her family’s native country.
Marlene is married to Brandon Flowers of The Dynamic Advantage. She resides in Altadena, CA.
