Greg Guinasso is a certified personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) working with a wide variety of clients with fitness goals ranging from weight loss and adopting healthy lifestyle choices, improving general strength and mobility to achieving a personal best in endurance events such as marathons and triathlons. In addition to his personal training certification, Greg is also a USA Track & Field Level 1 Certified Coach and a Road Runners Club of America Certified Coach.
Greg was motivated to pursue a career in fitness after losing over 70 pounds, quitting his two pack a day smoking habit and overcoming severe sleep apnea and high blood pressure to go onto to complete several endurance events including to date 8 marathonsincluding the Boston Marathon, 2 Ironman triathlons, and 4 ultramarathons ranging in distance up to 50 miles. Prior to that he, worked in both the entertainment and technology industries and graduated from film school at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with Bachelor of Arts degree. Greg also spent a summer term studying aboard at Queen’s College, University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.
Greg passionately believes that being physically active is not just a healthy habit, it is a vital part of living a fulfilling life regardless of age, current fitness level or physical ability. Training clients for Greg is about more than just conducting workouts or designing exercise programs. It is about motivating people to be the best they can be and getting them to believe in themselves. In his spare time, Greg likes to read,write, cook, and travel. He also still competes in amateur endurance events and is pursuing his goals of completing a 100 mile ultramarathon by the end of next year and improving upon his personal best times in the marathon and triathlon.
